You have the ability to customize your life, from your transportation, to your friends, down to your style, everything you choose is a customization. The Trax App is an ongoing personal project created around the idea of an application & software that allows you to create your own visuals on the sole of a shoe, truly creating that your personal footprint.
The app blends the objective of ease and strategic cornerstone of partnership. A solution, for a nonexistent problem, to personally personalize your style one step further. Based off the simplicity of mobile commerce, Trax leans into the large crowd of sneaker heads to evolve the idea of self expression. Making your mark takes on a new meaning when there's tangible prints to share that mark.
Below you'll see the progressive timeline of self-reflection, personal design judgment, and a deep love for the craft. We get nitty gritty here with a situational analysis, which helped focus the audience persona. From the product architecture, followed by a customized user journey, we begin to establish our sneaker-head client.
Establishing the right footwear that's wanting to be designed is the kick-off point for this project. Understanding how our audience searches for their desired styles, which companies offer some type of personalization ability, and how to funnel these groups together. We aim to streamline the search process to be able to seamlessly discover the right shoe for you.
After landing on the right kicks, we can start having some fun. Our design tab allows the shopper to upload a personal design, or choose to fill in with a predesigned visual. Our design presets are constantly updated with new font options, shapes, logos and more.
A custom icon set and digital style guide ensures that the Trax brand is consistent. Our line work is minimal to steer focus toward design, and leave room for the imagination to breath. Our color palette is subtle, only incorporating our hero blue for emphasis and confirmation. Our overall experience is geared toward you, the shoe lover. To emphasize the ease, Trax will partner with the top brands, adding an additional button to customize the sole before purchase. This option invites creativity from all realms, whether you're gearing up for your next hike, or hitting the streets for a bite with friends, customization is at your fingertips.
But what truly fuels the Trax engine is its ability to connect the community. The base of our application is to link individuals through a shared love of footwear and activity.
